I began Stacked Decks in 2025 as a professional development experiment to explore AI as both a design workflow tool and as an agentic AI-powered product. The app is still in active development using a combination of Figma’s beta AI tools, Claude Cowork and Claude Code.
Anytime, Anywhere Fitness Coaching
Stacked Decks utilizes research, proven training techniques and form examples to craft personalized workouts. Each workout is tailored to the user, their goals, current abilities, and exercise history. The AI Coach adapts to the current situation to provide the best possible workout by recognizing performance windows, targeting areas for improvement, or knowing when it is time for rest and recovery. From the streamlined UI to conversational coach, the goal was to Simplify and Think Outside the Screen.
Design Decisions
Chat instead of tap.
Designed to be hands-free, the app’s voice navigation and conversational coach make it possible to set the phone aside, only requiring a glance to double check the exercise movement or technique.
Utilize the down time.
Every recovery period within a workout is an opportunity to educate, inspire, or sell. Utilizing this captive time to its fullest improves both engagement and revenue.
